CHINA: The Asian Development Bank on Tuesday raised its forecast for Chinese
growth this year and next, in line with other international organizations.
Chinese GDP is now seen rising 6.7% this year, revised up from the bank's 6.5%
forecast in April. Growth will slow to 6.4% in 2018, but this is revised up from
the 6.2% forecast in April. The bank contributed the upward revision to China's
expansionary fiscal policy, relatively stable external demand and healthy
domestic consumption.
