The Asian dollar index opened...........>

DOLLAR-ASIA
DOLLAR-ASIA: The Asian dollar index opened slightly stronger today, currently
trading at 109.88, above yesterday's close, but the trend remains bearish
following four consecutive down days.
- The currency basket has weakened 11 out of the past 15 sessions even as the
CNY, which makes up 41.8% of the basket has remained stable.
- The 200DMA comes in at 109.48 and a break below this level would confirm a
bearish reversal in the currency basket. The major risk comes from the PBOC
adjusting the yuan weaker to maintain currency competitiveness against its
regional peers, which has the potential to trigger a further round of Asian FX
weakness.
