AUSSIE: The Aussie marginally underperformed its G10 peers overnight, with
AUD/USD dropping 8 pips in the process. The pair last sits at $0.7104, while BBG
cited a trader saying that AUD weakness was mostly stemming from sales against
NZD.
- Bears continue to keep an eye on the 200-HMA at $0.7090, which limited losses
yesterday. A break below would open up $0.7057, where the rate bottomed on
Wednesday. On the topside, bulls need to retake the 50-DMA/55-DMA at $0.7130/34
before challenging the 100-DMA/upper 1.0% 10-DMA envelope at $0.7159/63.
- Australian data releases next week include private sector credit data, due on
Friday. Elsewhere, RBA's Ellis and Kent will provide some central bank rhetoric,
on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
