AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: The Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM) will today
sell A$400mln of 5.75% 15 July 2022 bonds, issue TB128.
- The line was last sold on 11 August 2017 for A$500mln. The sale drew an
average yield of 2.1337%, a high yield of 2.135% with 33.1% allotted at the high
yield, covered 4.69x. There were 29 bidders, 11 successful and 4 allocated in
full.
- The issue looks fairly good value on a historical basis at -3.2bp, slightly
higher than the 3-month average of -5.2bp. The sector does still appear rich on
the curve
- The 3-/10-Year spread has widened recently as curves have steepened globally,
last as 75.2bp from a low of 45bp in mid-December. The short
- The issue has A$7bln outstanding with a modified duration of 4.50 years.
- Results due at 0000GMT/1100AEDT.
