The Caixin China general services PMI index...>

CHINA
CHINA: The Caixin China general services PMI index rose to 52.1 in August from
July's 51.6 as activity in China's services sector gained momentum. The gauge of
China's smaller service companies is at a three-month high, Caixin said.
- The growth of new orders remained robust, helped by improved potential demands
and opportunities brought by new projects, said companies surveyed by Caixin.
The new order index soared to a four-month high, Caixin said.
- The growth of new export orders slightly declined, but remained in the
expansionary zone, said Caixin.
- The increase reported by Caixin was not in line with the official service PMI
released last Saturday, which fell 0.4 to 52.5.
