The Dollar holds onto gains

  • The Dollar was on the front foot overnight pre EU Cash Govie open, and is still up against all G10s, besides the Yen that sits 0.16% up at the time of typing.
  • SEK and NZD were the early loser, but looking at the last Month's price action, the SEK is still up 4.80%.
  • Resistance for USDSEK is seen further out to 10.5481, last week's high, and would need a test all the way up to 10.8678, to just reverse the US CPI fall from the 14th November.
  • NOK is now the worst performer, helped by the fall towards $73 in WTI, where the latter found support, and the Commodity is now back at $73.50.
  • NOK is down 0.59%, but overall, the NOK still closer to its best levels printed in November.
  • Resistance in USDNOK is seen at 10.8287 initially.
  • Looking ahead, US Factory orders, final Durable goods are the scheduled Data releases.
  • Speakers will include, ECB Guindos, Lagarde, and BoE Dhingra.
