FOREX: The first half of today's Asia-Pacific session has seen G10 currency
pairs stick to fairly tight ranges, as news flow has been rather light.
- The yen has underperformed at the margin after the release of disappointing
Japanese trade data. Japanese trade surplus proved narrower than exp., with both
imports and exports shrinking on a Y/Y basis.
- USD/CNH has added ~30 pips and is seen flirting with its 21-DMA at CNH6.7156
at writing.
- Focus today turns to Japanese industrial output (f) and EZ trade balance,
while the central bank speakers' slate is empty.
