The latest on the Senate US tax bill vote........>

US
US: The latest on the Senate US tax bill vote appears to be this: "US tax bill
heads to Senate vote tonight (Tues NY/US night) despite House hitch," according
to the Financial Times.
- That, after House Maj. Leader Kevin McCarthy said earlier this afternoon the
House will have to take another vote on the tax bill Wed. morning after the
Senate removes or changes "relatively minor provisions that don't comply with
the chambers budget rules," said Bloomberg. The issue is "seen as a procedural
hiccup, rather than anything that could jeopardize the legislation's passage,"
it said as it would mean the bill required 60 votes rather than a simple
majority
- The House had voted 227-203 to pass the US tax bill Tuesday afternoon.
