STOCKS: The major Asia-Pac regional equity markets added to yesterday's gains
(which largely stemmed from the measures undertaken by the PBoC on Tuesday/talk
of potential domestic stock purchases from Chinese life insures), even with a
lack of liquidity injections from China's PBoC evident today, as a strong rally
on Wall St. provided a helping hand
- China's tech-heavy ChiNext index has recovered all of its LNY losses, at least
partially in sympathy with the strong performance for the U.S. NASDAQ
equivalent.
- Nikkei 225 +1.3%, Hang Seng +0.5%, CSI 300 +1.7%, ASX 200 +0.4%.
- S&P 500 futures -6, DJIA futures -49, NASDAQ 100 futures -18.
