STOCKS: The major Asia Pacific equity metrics ticked higher on Thursday,
following on from the bid observed on Wall St. in the wake of the latest batch
of Fed rhetoric, which left a July rate cut firmly on the table.
- U.S. equity index futures also edged higher. It is worth noting that the cash
S&P 500 index printed above 3,000 for the first time in history on Wednesday but
failed to close above the psychological level.
- Nikkei 225 +0.4%, Hang Seng +1.1%, CSI 300 +0.3%, ASX 200 0.4%.
- S&P 500 futures +8, DJIA futures +62, NASDAQ 100 futures +27.
