STOCKS: The major regional Asia-Pac equity indices trade a little mixed but have
stuck to generally tight ranges, mostly ticking higher on the back of the
positive lead from Wall St.
- The Nikkei 225 showed little reaction to the Japanese government's formal
budget announcement for FY20/21. Likewise, the mainland Chinese markets shrugged
off any headwinds from the lack of lower LPR fixings, after heightened chatter
surrounding the potential for a lower 1-Year fixing over the past couple of
sessions.
- The ASX 200 underperformed as the consumer sectors struggled.
- Nikkei 225 unch., Hang Seng +0.4%, CSI 300 +0.3%, ASX 200 -0.2%.
- S&P 500 futures unch., DJIA futures +2, NASDAQ 100 futures +1.
