CHINA PRESS: The recent recovery of the housing market is unlikely to be
sustainable as policymakers move to crack down on speculation, Securities Times
said in a commentary on Tuesday. The newspaper said that the attitude of
policymakers meant there was unlikely to be a further relaxation of housing
regulations or monetary policy. Economic indicators pointed to a
better-than-expected recovery which meant that liquidity for the housing market
may continue to be tightened, the Times said.
