EURO-DOLLAR: The single currency opened in Asia at $1.1711 toward the lower side
of the $1.1699 to $1.1779 range witnessed yesterday, where broad-based US dollar
strength and dovish undertones from ECB's September minutes placed the Euro on
the defensive. There is no significant data or scheduled events in Asia to
impact trading, traders expect sideways consolidation ahead of the European open
and release of German Factory Orders for August. Support is located at
$1.1696-99 (Oct3-5 lows), further support is then seen at $1.1679 (23.6%
$1.0341-$1.2092), while initial resistance is found at $1.1730 (38.2% fib on
yesterday's decline).
