AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: The space hovers just above SYCOM closing levels, after following
Tsys lower overnight. The domestic 3-/10-Year yield differential and the AU/US
10-Year yield spread continue to hold near familiar levels.
- Corporate issuance continues to catch attention, IFC launched a tap of its
2023 Kangaroo line (at least A$200mn), Macquarie University launched a 10-Year
Bond, while Singtel launched 5 & 10-Year paper. Bank of Montreal mandated banks
for a potential floating/fixed Kangaroo deal.
- The latest auction of A$1.0bn of the 2.75% 21 November 2029 Bond, issue #TB154
(part of the deliverable bask for XMZ8), had little effect on the broader
market.
- The Bill strip last trades 1-2 ticks softer, in sympathy with the direction of
Bonds since settlement, while 3-Month BBSW fixed unchanged today.
- Tomorrow's AU CapEx release dominates the domestic docket this week.
