CHINA: The U.S. will bar Chinese commercial passenger airlines from flying to
the U.S., Reuters reports in an exclusive citing official sources. The
Department of Transportation subsequently confirmed this ban will wake effect on
June 16. According to Reuters, this comes after China refused to allow U.S.
carriers to resume passenger service into China.
- This is the latest in a series of incidents that indicate tension between the
Trump administration and Beijing. However, little reaction market-wise, with
equities continuing to climb.
