ASIA
ASIA: The usual Japanese month-end data dump headlines the regional docket
today, with the latest labour market report, Tokyo CPI, retail sales and
industrial profits readings all due.
- Australia sees the release of building approvals data.
- Elsewhere, the BoK will issue its latest MonPol decision. Most expect that the
BoK will leave its key interest rate unchanged at 1.50%, with only 3 of the 25
surveyed by BBG looking for a 25bp cut. As a reminder, last month saw the Bank
deliver a 25bp cut. The Bank's view on the increased headwinds from the
Sino-U.S. & Japan-South Korea trade spats and the government's recently
announced fiscal package will provide key points of reference in the communique.
