Ticking Further Away From Best Levels

BONDS

Nothing to flag on the headline front when it comes to the extension of the move away from best levels in core global FI markets.

  • Some will no doubt point to early NY reaction to the previously covered BBG BoJ sources piece as a potential driver, while others will point to delayed reaction to the Axios piece which suggested that Israel is willing to delay a ground invasion of Gaza for a few days to allow talks on releasing a large number of the hostages Hamas is holding there.
  • U.S. and European benchmark equity index futures are firmer, which may have helped the move, but now operate a touch shy of best levels.
