Tight Morning, 40-Year Supply Eyed

JGBS

Futures hit the bell 3 ticks below settlement levels after a tight morning. Yields out to 20s are ultimately within 0.5 of yesterday's closing levels, mostly biased lower on the day, with 30s and 40s richening by ~1.0bp during the morning as the market shrugs off impending 40-Year supply and relatively tame issuance requirements surrounding the fiscal support package if the previously flagged Nikkei article is to be believed.
