CANADA DATA: Total debt purchases by non-Canadians were 2nd highest on record
(back to 1988) at CAD32.4b in May, behind only April's CAD54.0b. 
-Foreigners bought record CAD10.9b of Canadian govt bills in May, up from
April's CAD10.2b, in a month where federal govt issued record CAD85.8b.
-Foreign purchases of Canada bonds fell to CAD25.0b from CAD46.9b, with buying
mostly in corporate debt sold in foreign markets.
-Year-to-date foreign debt purchases are CAD126.2b, up from CAD33.4b in same
period last year.
-Foreigners sold the most Canadian shares since 2013, with net divestment of
CAD10.0b, a mix of shares canceled amid cross-border mergers and secondary
market sales.
-Statistics Canada says total foreign purchases of country's securities was
CAD22.4b in May, another strong month following April's record CAD49.0b.
-Canadian investors bought CAD13.4b of global securities in May.
