Total profits of state-owned companies rose...>

CHINA: Total profits of state-owned companies rose 23.5% to CNY2.6 trillion in
the first 11 months of this year, compared with 24.6% growth from January to
October, the Ministry of Finance said Friday. The profits of SOEs run by the
central government grew 17.7% to CNY1.67 trillion, down from a 17.8% increase in
the first 10 months, while profits of local SOEs rose 35.5% to CNY913.95
billion, down from 39.4% growth. The steel, non-ferrous metal, coal and
petrochemical sectors saw a large increase in profits, the ministry said.
