TotalEnergies and Eni Make Further Cypriot Gas Discovery

TotalEnergies and Eni have made a new gas discovery at the Zeus-1 well, in Block 6, offshore Cyprus.

  • TotalEnergies holds a 50% interest in Block 6, while Eni is the operator (50%).
  • The discovery follows the Calypso-1 and the Cronos-1 discoveries made on the same block respectively in 2018 and August 2022.
  • Interest in exploration in the area has ramped up this year as a possible part replacement for Russian flows for Europe.
