TotalEnergies’ Workers Vote To Join North Sea Strike Action

Around 70 workers employed by TotalEnergies in its oil and gas operations in the North Sea voted to join strike action according to Unite the union.

  • Workers at the North Sea oil and gas operations in the UK announced last month to plan nine rounds of strike action in a dispute over pay and changes to shift patterns.
  • Around 150 workers from contractor Sparrow offshore Services started strike action for 48 hours on 5 April.
  • Two more 48-hour strikes are planned for 19 and 26 April.
  • Ten 72-hour strikes are scheduled for 10.
  • Separately, 1350 contractors are set to go on strike from 24-26 April.
