Trade Minister Believes China Likely To Drop Trade Penalties

AUSTRALIA

MNI (Australia) – According to The Australian, Australia’s trade minister Farrell has said that he expects China to drop the trade penalties on Australian goods after he offered to remove two cases Australia has lodged against China at the WTO. China hasn’t said whether it is considering altering the trade restrictions yet. Farrell has said he is happy to meet with his Chinese counterpart at “any time, any place” and that “the ball is now in the Chinese government’s court”. (The Australian)
