UK: Trade officials from the UK and the US have announced the start of formal
talks for an FTA, with the first round taking place 6-15 May. 
- UK Int. Trade Sec. Liz Truss said that an FTA is a priority for both
countries, with US Trade Rep Lighthizer adding that London and Washington, D.C.
are committed to an "ambitious and high-standard trade agreement".
- 30 negotiating groups have been established to cover all areas of UK-US trade,
with talks taking place virtually. 
- UK will be keen to secure an FTA as soon as possible. 
- With US election approaching in November should Trump be defeated, an
administration under Joe Biden could prove less enthusiastic about maintaining
strong UK-US links through an FTA.
