US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are trading a little lower at writing with the
biggest moves seen in 5y yields and the belly of the curve. Moves in 2s and 30s
are minimal.
- The main focus this morning is on US-China trade talks with headlines
overnight stating that Chinese Vice President He will visit the US on Thurs and
Fri this week. This had seen a decent sell-off across the strip but moves have
been retraced over the past few hours. This follows talk yesterday that Trump is
close to getting tougher on tariffs.
- The highlight on the data calendar this afternoon with be JOLTS with the Fed's
Kaplan and Quarles both due to speak. The rest of the week sees the release of
PPI, CPI and trade balance data.
- TY1 futures are up 0-6+ today at 123-26+.
- 10y UST cash yields are up 0.3bp at 2.474%
- 2y UST cash yields are down 0.3bp at 2.289%.
