US TSYS SUMMARY
US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are weaker amid a broader global bond move, with
stronger-than-expected European data earlier, and Fed`s Powell awaited.
- Long end weakening: 2-Yr yield is up 1.7bps at 1.9233%, 5-Yr is up 2.5bps at
1.9039%, 10-Yr is up 3.6bps at 2.1012%, and 30-Yr is up 4.7bps at 2.5874%.
- Sep 10-Yr futures (TY) down 11/32 at 126-30.5 (L: 126-27.5 / H: 127-09)
- Eurodollars weaker, esp in Blues and Golds which are off 4.5 ticks.
- Fed Chair Powell Congressional text released at 0830ET, testimony begins
1000ET. MNI will cover with 'Human Readable Algo' questions upon text release.
- Clues for July cut magnitude (or hold?) in focus, particularly given last
Friday`s nonfarms upside shock.
- Apart from Powell, we get a Q&A with St Louis Fed`s Bullard (1330ET), and FOMC
Minutes (1400ET).
- KC Fed`s George (voter, hawk) noted earlier that median dots for L-T rates
have fallen, and that doesn`t look like inflation set to surge.
- 10-Yr note auction of note later (1300ET); minimal data flow.
