equities recovering slightly, as markets await commentary from a key Fed
conference.
- Short end retracing sharply as stock futures bouncing (S&P Eminis up 0.4%),
with 2-Yr yield up 4.6bps at 1.8774%, 5-Yr up 3.4bps at 1.8698%, 10-Yr up 2.8bps
at 2.0985%, and 30-Yr up 3.3bps at 2.5642%.
- Sep 10-Yr futures (TY) down 5.5/32 at 127-3.5 (L: 126-31.5 / H: 127-14).
- Eurodollar strip fading some recent gains, with Reds off 4-4.5 ticks.
- Potentially big day for Fed speak, with Chair Powell headlining (0955ET) at
Fed's Chicago conference, while Williams and Brainard also due to appear.
- This follows on from dovish comments from FOMC voter Bullard Monday.
- Trade news in heavy supply as usual, with WaPost headlines last night
suggesting that congressional Republicans could act to block Trump tariffs on
Mexico; China today issued travel advisory on the U.S. through end-2019.
- Durable goods and factory orders provide the data highlights.
