US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries have faded Asia-Pac gains in European trading, with
volumes on the light side and a rangebound feel to proceedings.
- Overnight strength seen on Korean peninsula / Beijing COVID concerns, but Tsys
topped/equities began strengthening a little before midnight ET, with the move
petering out around 0430ET. No major headline drivers in European trading.
- The 2-Yr yield is down 0.4bps at 0.1952%, 5-Yr is down 0.6bps at 0.3376%,
10-Yr is down 0.2bps at 0.7512%, and 30-Yr is up 0.2bps at 1.5451%.
- Sep 10-Yr futures (TY) up 1/32 at 138-15 (L: 138-11.5 / H: 138-21.5).
- The $17bln reopening of 20-Yr Tsy at 1300ET closely watched. Also today, NYFed
buying ~$4.4bln of Tsys.
- 2nd day of Powell Congressional Q&A, this time before the House Financial
Services Panel, starting 1200ET; also Minn Fed Pres Kashkari at 1100ET,
Atlanta's Bostic at 1200ET, and Cleveland's Mester at 1600ET.
- A slower day for data after Tuesday's Retail Sales blowout; May Housing Starts
at 0830ET the highlight.
