US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries have started Fed week with a bang as developments in
the Middle East are eyed warily.
- With risk-off sentiment prevailing, Dec 10-Yr futures (TY) are up 17/32 at
129-3.5 (L: 128-24 / H: 129-07).
- The 2-Yr yield is down 5.5bps at 1.745%, 5-Yr is down 6bps at 1.6907%, 10-Yr
is down 6.5bps at 1.831%, and 30-Yr is down 6.9bps at 2.3015%.
- Energy Sec Perry echoed earlier administration rhetoric saying Iran 'must be
held responsible' for weekend attack on Saudi oil facilities.
- Further comments by Pres Trump (via Twitter or otherwise) awaited after
tweeting that U.S. 'locked and loaded depending on verification`.
- WTI Crude Oil (front-month) up $4.54 (8.28%) at $59.45. Upside in oil prices
may be headline inflationary, but seen above all as drag on consumer.
- Sep Empire Manuf. survey (1330ET) of note given recent tariff developments.
- Otherwise, Fed decision Wednesday eyed: MNI preview will be out later Monday.
