Trump, Biden Neck-And-Neck In Georgia - Monmouth Poll

US

The latest Monmouth University opinion poll puts Republican Donald Trump
and Democrat Joe Biden level-pegging at 47% each in the state of Georgia.

  • Based on models where there is a high turnout among 'likely voters', Trump
leads 48% to 47%. Where there is low turnout among the same group,
    Trump leads 49% to 46%.
  • The poll also puts Republican candidates ahead in both Georgia's US Senate
races. In the special Senate primary, Republicans Kelly Loeffler (inc-26%)
and Doug Collins (20% lead Democrats Matt Liebermann (14%) and
Raphael Warnock (9%). If no candidate wins with 50%+1 of the vote
the top two, even if they are from the same party, go through to a
    run-off in Jan 2021.
  • In the other Senate race, incumbent Republican David Perdue leads Democrat
challenger Jon Ossoff 49% to 43%.
  • Poll carried out July 23-27, but only on 402 Georgia voters meaning a wide
margin of error of +/- 4.9%.
