Tsys Drag Futures Higher, International Matters Set To Dominate

AUSSIE BONDS

International matters will be at the fore ahead of the weekend with participants focused on the Jackson Hole symposium.

  • The richening in U.S. Tsys helped drag Aussie bond futures higher in post-Sydney trade, with YM +5.0 and XM +8.5 in early Sydney dealing, with the latter testing its overnight high after catching a bid at the re-open and the former operating around late overnight levels, a touch shy of its post-Sydney peak. Bills run 1-3bp richer through the reds.
  • Friday will see A$700mn of ACGB Apr-29 on offer at auction followed by the release of the AOFM’s weekly issuance slate, with no domestic economic data releases of note scheduled
