US TSY/RECAP
US TSY/RECAP: Tsys were mixed on Wednesday, with the curve finishing flatter as
the long end recovered from session lows. Brexit/NAFTA political themes continue
to dominate.
- Limited/no reaction to better than expected second estimates of U.S. GDP, but
stronger equities helped to add weight for most of the day. This was before the
latest 7-Year Note auction stopped through by 0.6bp, with the cover ratio
bettering the 6-auction average. Dealer takedown was relatively steady, with
direct participation rising at the expense of indirects.
- Roll flow continued to dominate volume in futures, ahead of Dec becoming the
lead contract on Friday. Otherwise trade was fairly muted, and 2-way in nature,
with some deal-tied trading apparent.
- EDU8 outperformed the rest of the Eurodollar strip.
- T-Notes last at 120.02, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields closed at 2.884%.
