TTF Steady as EU Discuss Supply Plans and Price Cap

TTF front month prices are holding steady this week with risks to the remaining supplies from Russia balanced against healthy LNG imports, filling storage levels and above normal temperatures.

    • TTF NOV 22 down -0.3% at 156.29€/MWh
  • EU is working on plans to ease the pressure on high prices ahead of the summit later this month on Oct 20-21. A price cap on gas is still under discussion as well as joint efforts to secure future supplies to fill storage next year.
  • Russian flows through Ukraine are today nominated at 42.4mcm/d with Norwegian supplies at 313.1mcm/d.
  • Weather forecasts show above normal temperatures are expected in NW Europe for the next week followed by near normal for week two.
  • European storage is now up to 91.35% full with Germany at 94.67%, Italy at 93.11%, France at 98.14%, and Netherlands at 93.28%.
