  • Turkey conducts successful test fire of domestic rival missile system to Russian S-400 – the Siper system, according to defence industries president Ismail Demir.
    • Notes that testing for longer range missiles continues and that once completed (~2023) Turkey will have 5-6 different air defence systems active in Turkey. No mention was made about dropping the S-400s, however
  • HDP calls for the case advocating its closure to be thrown out of court because the case against it is political and draws attention to the critical role the party plays in Turkey's democracy.
    • The party presented a 173-page document and highlights for its defence and will now await the opinion of the chief prosecutor on the case. Then a 2/3 majority is needed in the 15 member ConCourt committee to approve its closure
