TurkGB Curve Holds Onto Bull Flattening Gains W/W

TURKEY
  • Local & USD rates remain Unch this morning, having closed Friday’s session mostly mixed.
  • TurkGB yields closed -14-16bp lower in 3 & 7Y tenors, while the remainder of the curve slipped marginally into the red alongside USD bond yields.
  • W/w, however, TurkGBs held onto their bull flattening gains with 7-10Y yields ending -58-60bp lower on week.
  • Credit default swaps fell -33bp w/w as implied volatility remained low, but the Fitch downgrade to B+ from BB- and little faith in the FX-linked deposit system’s ability to offset inflation risks is a concern going forward.
  • TurkGB Curve w/w
