TurkGBs Give Back Some Ground, but Remain Bull Flatter W/W

TURKEY
  • TurkGBs kick off on the backfoot this morning, with 3Y yields up +12bp in early trading.
  • This follows on from yesterday's broadly weaker session yesterday following the notable upside surprise in US CPI that drove a marked deterioration in global risk sentiment.
  • TurkGBs turned offered in the session, bear steepening +10-17bp in 5-10Y yields. Similarly, USD bonds also bear steepened +10.3-11.8bp in 7-15Y yields.
  • W/w, however, TurkGBs remain -12-15bp bull flatter in 7-10Y yields as a result of a firmer start to the week.
  • Both Turkey's 5Y CDS and 1w implied vols both turned higher in line with weaker risk conditions yesterday with the 1w vol now capturing the 18 Nov CBRT meeting.
  • TurkGB Curve W/W
