Turkish Gas Hub Potentially in Province of Kirklareli

The new touted Turkish gas hub supplied by Russian gas may be established in the province of Kirklareli in the European part of Turkey, where the TurkStream gas pipeline lays according to Russian news reports.

  • "The place for the hub, most likely, will be the Lulerburgaz region in the Black Sea province of Kirklareli, the landfall for the TurkStream string. This area has the required infrastructure, so it will not be difficult to develop. There are already technical issues that must be discussed by representatives of the two countries," the source said.
  • Turkish President Erdogan said earlier today he agreed to create a Turkish gas hub after speaking with Russia’s Putin.
