Twist Steepening
Aussie bonds have nudged lower alongside a light downtick in U.S. Tsys (aided by Indonesian Pres Jokowi confirming Chinese President Xi and Russian President Putin’s plans to attend the G20 summit in November, see previous U.S. Tsy bullet for more on that matter), helping unwind the bull steepening impetus derived from Thursday’s Tsy trade. Cash ACGBs run 1.0bp cheaper to 0.5bp richer across the curve, twist steepening, with 10s sitting 0.5bp cheaper after printing as much as 2.5bp richer earlier. YM is +0.5 while XM is -0.5. The 3-/10-Year EFP box is steepening, with 3-Year EFP flat and 10-Year EFP pushing wider, while Bills run +2 to -2 through the reds.
