U.S. Dollar, Antipodeans On Softer Footing

Light selling pressure has hit Antipodean currencies despite upticks in all three main e-mini contracts. Headline flow has been lacklustre, keeping major FX pairs in narrow ranges.

  • The greenback is struggling for any topside impetus, with the BBDXY index operating slightly below neutral levels.
  • The yen is pacing gains after USD/JPY shed ~25 pips ahead of the Tokyo fix. Japan's unemployment matched expectations at 2.6%.
  • German CPI, EZ sentiment gauges and U.S. Conf. Board Consumer Confidence take focus on the data front today.
