U.S. Impulse Results In Bearish Flattening Of Futures

AUSSIE BONDS

The previously outlined bearish flattening in the U.S. Tsy space helped drag Aussie bond futures lower in post-Sydney dealing, leaving YM and XM comfortably below their respective settlement levels at the re-open, albeit off overnight lows after Tsys found a bit of a base in the NY afternoon.

  • YM is -7.5, while XM is -6.0
  • Bills run 2-10bp lower through the reds, with the late whites and early reds leading the weakness.
  • Monthly trade balance data headlines the domestic docket on Thursday.
