US TSY/RECAP: U.S. Tsys see-sawed higher on Friday, extending on light futures
volumes.
- There was no new ground broken in the text of Fed Chair Powell's semi-annual
MonPol report, highlighting that policy remains accommodative, set for further
gradual hikes. Powell's formal address will take place on Tuesday & Wednesday
this week.
- Light late week flow included two-way/position squaring in
fronts/intermediates, option-tied selling was also observed, while further out
in the curve funds were seen selling 30s.
- The Eurodollar strip was a touch higher by the bell.
- U.S. retail sales provides the highlight of the U.S. docket on Monday.
- T-Notes last at 120.11, U.S. 10-Year Tsy yields closed at 2.827%.
