Aussie 10-year futures were sold further headed into the Tuesday session, with
bullish fatigue becoming more evident. This trend was somewhat reversed ahead of
the close, however, as dismal US data underpinned a US Treasury rally. Once this
support ebbs, Aussie bond futures look likely to resume their negative trend,
first targeting the vol band support at 99.0137 ahead of late August lows at
99.00. For bulls to wrestle the mantle, recent highs up at 99.14 remain the
near-term target and first hurdle. A break north of here would open the all time
best levels at 99.17.
