  • Windel Energy and Canadian Solar’s 350MW Mallard Pass PV unit was also approved, with Low Carbon’s 500MW Gate Burton solar farm given planning permissions.
  • A decision on the Sunnica PV project was initially due in September 2023 but was delayed several times by former Conservative energy secretary Claire Coutinho, who also pushed back decision deadlines for Mallard Pass.
