UK CPI Drags European Equities Higher ahead OF Cash Open

EQUITIES

FTSE 100 futures turn bid on the back of the softer than expected UK CPI data, leaving the contract ~0.8% higher vs. yesterday’s settlement levels, running at the firmest level seen since the 5 July in the process, sitting just off best levels of the day ahead of the cash open. The move also lends support to the Euro STOXX 50 futures contract, which runs ~0.5% firmer into the cash open.
