UK National Arrested In Berlin, Accused Of Spying For Russia

AFP reporting that German prosecutors have stated that a UK national working at the British Embassy in Berlin has been arrested on accusations of spying for Russia.

• The prosecutors said in a statement that ""On at least one occasion, he passed on documents he had obtained in the course of his professional activities to a representative of a Russian intelligence service. The accused received cash in an as yet unknown amount in return for his transmission of information,"
• The individual, identified only as David S. is believed to be a British man employed as a local staff member embassy, rather than a British diplomat.
