UK retail sales slumped by 0.6% in Nov, falling short of market 
forecast of a 0.2% increase. Nov's reading marks the fourth consecutive 
month without growth which has not occured since comparable records 
began in 1996. The 3-month avg fell by 0.4%, its first decline since Apr 
2018. Nov's setback was broadly based, with non-specialised stores 
showing the largest m/m fall. Household goods stores recorded the only 
m/m increase, boosted by promotional activity, according to anecdotal 
evidence.
