Ukraine Maintains High Power Imports

Ukrainian power imports are expected at 23.48GWh on Thursday, compared with 23.69GWh on Wednesday – a new record - as Russian attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure paired with cold weather has caused a significant capacity deficit in Ukraine’s power system, the Energy Ministry said.

  • Power imports stood at 21.07GWh on Tuesday and at 19.48GWh on Monday.
  • Power grid operators imposed another day of restrictions on industrial consumers during the morning and evening, the ministry said.
