US Crude Exports Expected to Stay Strong in March: Kpler

OIL

The US seaborne crude oil exports are expected to remain strong in March despite fog disruptions after almost rising to just below a record high in February according to Kpler.

  • Refinery activity is increasing, and operations are currently exceeding last year's levels but are projected to slowdown compared to the previous year in the coming six months.
  • Crude imports are also expected to rebound while crude inventories are expected to increase in March as is typically expected at this time of year and despite the boost in refining activity.
  • Vessel navigation at the Galveston, Texas City and Freeport ship channels resumed on March 8 afternoon after being suspended earlier due to fog, according to notice from Moran Shipping.
