US Crude SPR down to 389.1mbbls: OilX

US SPR withdrawals this week were a total of -1.4mbbls of only sweet crude according to OilX.

  • US SPR is now down to 389.1mbbls with a year to date decline of -204.6mbbls and a split of 46.6% sweet vs 53.4% sour crude. The current drawdown speed of -203kbpd is slower than EIA prediction of 666kbpd for Nov.
  • SPR withdrawals are expected to continue into December after the final 15mbbls tender at the start of November for Dec delivery from the planned 180mbbls release.
