US diesel cracks are around 7.5% on the week as distillate inventories fell to near four-month lows while demand is above the seasonal average and rising.

  • US diesel cracks have traded between $24.197/b and $26.843/b this week.
  • EIA data showed US distillate stocks drew by 2.812m bbl to 114.78m bbl in the seven days to March 14, a 2.4% fall week-on-week. This takes stocks to their lowest level since late Nov.
  • Gulf Coast distillate inventories are now at their lowest levels in a year.
  • However, in the wider Atlantic basin, diesel fundamentals suggest excess supply as surges in diesel flows to the region seen at times in 2024 continues in early 2025, Vortexa said.
